Meet Nicole

As a third-generation Washington real estate professional, the real estate industry has always been in my periphery. Some of my earliest memories involve assisting my grandparents, Ruth and Douglas W. Tingvall, at their brokerage, Paramount Realty in Mason County. I loved going out with my grandparents on walkthroughs & inspections and observing their client interactions.

My father, Douglas Scott Tingvall, served as General Counsel at John L. Scott Real Estate from 1985-2005 and has been in private Real Estate Law practice since then. As the principal drafter of the Law of Real Estate Agency in Washington State (1996) and Washington Association of REALTORS® Instructor of the Year (2003), my father knows the real estate industry inside & out and I have been fortunate to have access to his expertise throughout my life.

Before beginning my real estate career, I built a foundation in interior design and furniture & textiles sales. I have a Business degree from the University of Washington and an Interior Design degree from Bellevue College. In 2017, I was awarded "Industry Member of the Year" by the International Interior Design Association, Northern Pacific Chapter. With my Interior Design background, I am able to showcase a Seller’s home to sell quickly for a higher price and I am able to help Buyers visualize a home's potential.

In 2019, I earned a Master Certified Negotiation Expert® designation. While most clients don't care about acronyms after an agent's name, they do care about skills. 82% of clients believe the ability to successfully negotiate a deal is the MOST important skill for their agent to have. I implement win-win strategies to give you favorable results.

Also in 2019, I was awarded “Rookie of the Year” by Whatcom County Association of REALTORS®

In 2021, I earned a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® designation, PropertySpark magazine ranked me as #6 among Bellingham Real Estate Brokers in Social Media, and Five Star Professional presented me with the “Rising Star” Award in Seattle Magazine.

I finished the year 2022 as the #1 Broker at John L. Scott Bellingham and I ranked among the top 2% of Whatcom County Agents for sales volume, closing 26 transactions totaling $19.58M.

In 2023, I earned an Accredited Buyer’s Representative® designation and I was nominated “REALTOR® of the Year” by Whatcom County Association of REALTORS®. I am currently serving as President-Elect for Whatcom County Association of REALTORS®.

I would be honored to represent you in your real estate transactions.

With Gratitude, Nicole Tingvall

Bellingham

Bellingham is a lot of things. A college town. The northernmost city in the contiguous United States. A mid-point between Seattle and Vancouver, BC. A beer lover’s paradise. But more than anything it is, hands down, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Views from Bellingham include Mt. Baker and the Cascades, Bellingham Bay and the tree-lined San Juan Islands. The water of Bellingham Bay provides opportunities for boating, kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding, and viewing the spectacular craggy, coastline. And with Mt. Baker at our doorstep, winter sports like skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing are moments away. The city is great for bicyclists. With more than 60 miles of bike lanes on the roads and almost 70 miles of trails, getting on your bike for a jaunt is both easy and picturesque. The trails are great for an afternoon stroll or longer hike too. Bellingham has long been a gathering place for creatives. Artists from the literary, theater, musical and visual arts make up a vibrant scene that attracts both residents and visitors. Seattle is 90 miles to the south, and Vancouver is about 50 miles to the north, which means those arts and cultural centers are just a drive away as well. If you’d like to learn more about Bellingham, let us know. We’d love to show you around and help you find your perfect home.
